Friends Of Archway Market
CONSTITUTION

 

Objectives

1. To protect the interests of Archway Market both currently and in the future and also in licensing and planning decisions.

2. To promote the market so that it can thrive and be sustainable.

3. To host entertainments, festivals, gatherings and workshops for the people of Archway working in partnership with local organisations.

4. To forge links between our varied communities, establishing the market as a place where people can meet, make connections and have fun in the place they live.

 

 

Membership

1. Membership of F.O.A.M is open to anyone – we welcome everyone.

2. Members can choose their level of involvement:

*My membership shows I support the market.

**I also would like to receive updates of, for example, new stalls and forthcoming events.

***I would also like to get involved in organising events.

 

Committee

There will be a floating chair, a treasurer and a secretary, elected informally by votes cast and displayed at the F.O.A.M community noticeboard. These members will be responsible for funding applications, bookkeeping and recording and acting on ideas and suggestions which can be made by members by email or at the F.O.A.M notice board. Accounts and records will be available for inspection by members.

 

Decisions

Relevant matters and suggestions needing a vote will be posted at the F.O.A.M notice board and by email to* * and* ** members. A quorum of ten members will be required and the majority decision will prevail.

 

Funding or Dissolution

Any funds obtained will be used to achieve one or more of the objectives, and will not constitute profit of any kind. Any funds remaining should F.O.A.M disband would be donated to community projects.
